Uley Parish Council kindly requests all parishioners to ensure that wheelie bins and other waste/recycling containers are not put out on public areas and verges within the village except within the 24 hours immediately prior collection.
Stroud District Council who are responsible for waste collection in Uley advise “Your bin should be placed at the boundary of your property, as close as possible to the highway by 6am on your collection day”.
Uley Parish Council would request that all bins etc are removed promptly after collection and not put out again until the day before the next collection.
No rubbish or waste item should ever be put out that is not contained within an approved recycling wheelie bin or waste/recycling container. The only exception is large cardboard, which should be reduced in size by folding or cutting it to the approximate size of the green recycling box and placing it underneath.
Please help keep Uley tidy!
