Retirement of Parish Clerk leaves vacancy

It is with regret we announce the resignation of Ashy McKay, our Parish Clerk.  Ashy joined us in 2012 and has worked tirelessly for Uley Parish Council and the Community as a whole. Having also acted as Clerk to the Woodlands Committee and secretary to the Uley Playing Field Trust, Ashy will be sorely missed.

In the meantime we are looking for a replacement Parish Clerk, should you know of anyone with the experience and skills listed below please let us know.

  1. High standard of English, familiarity with writing letters and taking minutes.
  2. Candidates should ideally hold the CILCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) or be willing to work towards it within 12 months of taking the post.
  3. Good computer literacy.
  4. Excellent people skills, dealing with complaints, calm and friendly disposition.

This is a part time position where you will be based from home but will need access to transport at times.
