Martin Pearcy

I have lived in Coaley since 2013, after moving from North Yorkshire with my wife and twins.  Before that I spent many years in the Surrey area where I met my wife, Shona.  I am a qualified accountant and risk manager currently work in the nuclear decommissioning industry, after working in the NHS and retail & catering industries, my previous job was working for NAAFI, although I originally studied as an Environmental Scientist.
Prior to having the honour of being elected as the Coaley, Uley and Nympsfield District Councillor I was a Parish Councillor in Coaley for three years.
I am a Green Party Councillor, so in addition to supporting the needs of local residents, I also seek to encourage more sustainably living opportunities, and allow people to work locally through supporting local business opportunities and more eco-transport routes.
What spare time I have left is in our garden attempting to grow various vegetables, and making apple juice/cider in the autumn from our small orchard. or walking in the local area.
