Want to be a Parish Councillor!

Due to the retirement of Belinda Holley there is a vacancy for a councillor on Uley Parish Council. As no statutory request has been made for an election the position will be filled by co-option.

Parish Council meetings are once a month (on the first Wednesday) but councillors are encouraged to serve on or liaise with other bodies such as Millennium Field, Police Liaison, Village Hall and to undertake duties such as snow warden, flood warden etc.

Uley PC members stand as independents so there are no party politics. Every November we budget for our annual expenditure according to our assessment of needs.

Basically, we are here to support village life. If any parishioner is interested in being co-opted please contact our Chairman, Jonathan Dembrey, on his mobile 07801 217230 up to end of October.
