Village Hall

Uley and Owlpen Village Hall was originally built in 1849 to provide a meeting place for villagers and a venue for the Sunday School. The current structure dates from 1913 and is used by many organisations on a regular basis including: Playgroup, Mothers & Toddlers, Uley Singing Allsorts, Uley Society, Uley Woman’s Institute, WI Craft Group, Art Group, Uley Players and the Parish Council.


The Hall is managed on behalf of the village by a Management Committee.
The current Chairman is Dr Noel Briscoe (tel 07801 338936, Email  noelabriscoe@btinternet.com).


The Hall has free Fast Wifi available courtesy of Gigaclear Ltd.



As well as the above groups the hall is available to book for parties, meetings and other events.


TO BOOK ULEY VILLAGE HALL

There are three options for booking the hall as follows.

EITHER:-

a)   Check the electronic booking calendar

(https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/1?cid=Y290c3dvbGR2aWxsYWdlaGFsbEBnbWFpbC5jb20) and find a free period that suits. To book the period complete a booking form (form) and send it to cotswoldvillagehall@gmail.com .

YOUR BOOKING IS ONLY ACCEPTED WHEN IT IS CONFIRMED BY THE BOOKING CLERK

b) Go to the Community Stores and find the loose leaf file which contains the bookings for the Village Hall. Enter your required period and take a booking form. Fill in the booking form and leave it in the shop marked For The Attention of Jo Kirk. It will be collected in a few days. Please note that the file in the Community Stores is a paper copy of the  electronic booking calendar and may not be up to date.

    HIRING CHARGES   From Sept. 1st. 2022

REGULAR USERS    £24.00 per session (2–3 hours)   

        (at least six times per year and not Saturday or Sunday)

CASUAL USERS       Day Rate - £18.00 per hour up to 6.00pm

                                           Evening Rate - £24.00 per hour from 6.00pm

                                           until 11.30 pm (£50 returnable deposit may be required)

ALL DAY WEDDINGS      £260.00 until midnight plus £50 deposit

                                                   returnable on meeting terms & conditions
